Open Positions

Product Designer

Use empathy, customer development, and metrics, combined with instinct and skill to propel product design that delights users.

Product Designer is a holistic position that draws on disciplines in user experience, interaction design, visual design, and industrial design. In other words, we are not just seeking a Photoshop jockey.

Your commonly used tools will include paper prototypes, wireframing, digital prototyping, human interviews, and more. Bonus if you can work in HTML and CSS.

This is our first full-time design hire, so you have the opportunity to lead and grow the design discipline at Genomera.

As we employ a balanced team approach, desire to work with a team of developers, designers, and product managers is critical.

The ideal candidate resonates with the principles of the Lean UX movement (If you are LUXr alumni, make sure to tell us).

Front-End Developer

Genomera seeks a front-end developer to advance our health studies platform. The candidate should know what it means to work on a small startup team, pivot quickly, and jump in wherever needed.

The right developer can point to a body of work that is exemplary of both their skills and their ability to work with designers.

Required Skills

  • Your primary canvas on which to paint consists of HTML5, jQuery, and CSS, vended from Jinja templates
  • You will interface with Flask, Python, and MongoDB
  • You have experience (not just interest in) developing social network features
  • You have empathy—you understand users’ motivation. You feel their pain and joy
  • Ability to work in a small team
  • Habitual collaboration with UX designers

Full Stack Developer
